A Mother's Perspective of Cystic Fibrosis
Living with cystic fibrosis. Well I cannot actually tell you much from living with CF from a personal point of view, but I can pass on a mother's view point.
When Angus was born in 2009 we had no idea what our journey with Angus was going to entail, but we knew it would be a different journey than with our other son Joss. On day two of Angus's life he had not had a bowel motion and all of a sudden what seemed like a huge team of health professionals entered our room. The conversation went like this
Them: Your son we believe has cystic fibrosis, miconeum ilius, blah, blah, bowel blockage, blah, blah, ambulance, Hobart, bowel surgery.
Us: What?
CF presents many challenges and with your help we can find a cure for this life threatening chronic illness. The new treatments on trial as we speak are exciting and will help Angus and many others, live a long and healthier life. Please ride or sponsor someone you know and bring about an end to this chronic disease.
